Top Tips for Storing Christmas Decorations

After the holiday season has passed, it's tempting to throw all your lights, ornaments, and decorations into storage boxes as soon as possible. But if you make the effort to arrange these holiday decorations, you may save huge difficulties when it's time to decorate next year.

1. Use clear resealable bags

Use transparent bags from the kitchen to store all your decorations in one place and organise by colour. Then, when following year rolls along, you may quickly and easily evaluate your stockpile.

2. Shrink wrap your tree

This is a great tip for preserving the condition of an artificial tree during both the colder warmer months of storage. Simply slice the side of the wrapping paper with scissors and fluff the branches back into place when you're ready to decorate again next year.

3. Wrap lights around cardboard

In order to stay organised, wrap your holiday decoration lights around disposable pieces of cardboard before putting them in storage.

4. Storing your ornaments

Egg cartons made of cardboard are an ideal container for small, round ornaments. And while you're on your coffee run of the day, don't forget to stock up on the cup holders; when they are wedged together, they're ideal for keeping larger pieces.
